By joining the Augusta Canal Keepers Society, you show your support for this special landscape. In the past, a lock keeper lived at the headgates attending to the Canal's safe keeping. Today's Augusta Canal Keepers carry on in that spirit of stewardship. In turn, Keepers are thanked with benefits, discounts and special acknowledgments.

Your support enables the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area, Inc. to further its mission of preserving and protecting the Canal as a unique and special place in our country's history and environment.
Just like the Canal itself, Augusta Canal Keeper membership is structured with three main levels, each with added benefits (In-kind donations of goods and services will be acknowledged at the appropriate level). Augusta Canal Keepers receive free admission to the Augusta Canal Discovery Center, discounts on gift shop merchandise and can participate in special "Canal Keepers" events throughout the year.
First Level (Basic)
